NEW LIFE IN JESUS

BELIEVE
in Jesus
I believe in what Jesus said about himself and in the testimony of those who knew him.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life," Jesus answered. "No one comes to the Father except through me. " John 14:6
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were created; without him, nothing created was made. In him was life, and that life was the light of humanity. This light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not been able to extinguish it. John 1:1-5
I believe Jesus loved us enough to join humanity, living our life and dying our death. He experienced the consequences of the world's sins—including mine—on the cross, and overcame sin and death by rising again.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

RECEIVE Jesus
I confess that I need Jesus. I turn away from my sins and my life apart from God. I transfer my trust from myself to Jesus, placing my life in his hands. Now, united with Jesus, I receive forgiveness, a clear heart and conscience, and a new life in God's family that begins today and continues beyond death.
If we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:7-9
But if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, who is the sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins—and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2

ACCEPT
my new identity in Jesus
Every day, I embrace my new identity, through faith in Jesus, as a reconciled son or daughter of God. I am no longer alone; I have been "born again" into God's family, which extends throughout the world and across generations. I am "in Christ."
You must be born again. John 3:7
See what great love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we are called children of God! 1 John 3:1
The Spirit of God lives in me and assures me daily of His love and that I belong to Him. I have access to peace, joy, courage, and the power for a different life. The Spirit of God makes Jesus real to me, comforts me in my struggles, and reminds me of the truth.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever: the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16-18
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not be distressed or discouraged. John 14:27
